Your Dog Can Save A Life
Please reach out to us if you are interested in having your dog join our Blood Donor Clinic.
We are proud to work closely with the Canadian Animal Blood Bank to help save dogs’ lives. The Canadian Animal Blood Bank is advancing veterinary medicine by raising awareness and educating the community about transfusion medicine. At Alpine Animal Hospital, we host a minimum of four blood donor clinics per year, with the hopes of doing more. We are always looking to add generous donors to our program.
For the safety of both the donor and recipient, donors must meet the following criteria:

Please note: Intact and raw-fed dogs are welcome to donate to our program.
What are the Perks?
• One complimentary blood product, should it be needed
• Free microchip identification
• Bandana and blood donor tag Milestone dog tags
• Complimentary testing for blood-bourne diseases and heartworm
Every unit of blood donated can make a difference in the lives of three other dogs (12 dogs per year) and their families across Canada.
