Dr. Jim Standish


Dr. Standish graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1978. He practiced for 3 years in a mixed practice in Alberta before moving to Winnipeg in 1981.  He has a special interest in surgery; particularly orthopedic, ears, eyes and throat. His hobbies include gardening and photography. He has 3 grown children; a daughter and two sons and 3 grandchildren. Dr. Standish has no family pets currently but over the years have had both large and dogs and cats as pets. His goal is to “ensure that clients are completely informed and their problems are addressed and taken care of”.


Dr. Jaswant Singh


Dr. Singh graduated from the College of Veterinary Sciences Ludhiana of PAU, India in 1985 with a background in mixed animal practice. He is both a member of the CVMA (Canadian Veterinary Medical Association) and the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) due to the fact that he once practiced in both Michigan and Virginia. Dr. Singh joined the A.A.H. team in 2006. He has an interest in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, preventive medicine and regularly attends conferences to stay up to date with the newest technologies. Dr. Singh’s eldest son is also a veterinarian, practicing in California. Dr. Singh enjoys travelling, hiking and soccer. His goal is to “make sure your pet gets the best and affordable professional help at A.A.H.”



Dr. Kulwinder Chhoker


Dr. Chhoker graduated from the Punjab Agriculture University in India in 1983. He worked as a Veterinarian for 22 years before migrating to Canada with his family in 2005. In 2008 Dr. Chhoker joined the A.A.H team and acquired his full Canadian license in 2010.  He has a special interest in Soft tissue surgery and preventative medicine. Dr. Chhoker enjoys playing volleyball, reading and constantly learning new and interesting things.



Dr. Charuta Tung

Dr. Tung graduated in 2016 from College of Veterinary Science, GADVASU Ludhiana, India. She joined the A.A.H team in 2018. She is eager and willing to learn with a special interest in soft tissue surgery and dental procedures. In her spare time she enjoys reading and is trained in folk dance. Dr. Tung’s future goals include training in Ultrasound and to educate pet owners to an extent that they will only need to come in for their annual visits.


Dr. Samantha Bray

Dr. Bray graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a bachelor of  science in 2016. She then moved to Saskatoon to attend WCVM and graduated in 2020. Dr. Bray moved back to Winnipeg to be close to family and start her career here. She is passionate about Preventative care. She enjoys spending time with her Jack Russel Rocky and her hobbies include beading.
